I’m glad you’re here.
This blog exists for one reason and one reason alone: to help early entrepreneurs navigate some of the common challenges, questions, and pitfalls of early stage business development and funding.
I’m comfortable sharing my insight here because I have personally done this work, and what I share here is information I have gained through direct firsthand experience. I have worked in venture capital and private capital as a due diligence analyst and dealfow manager for a number of years, and continue to pursue that work to this day. I have also independently founded and and sold multiple businesses. As a dealflow manager, I have overseen hundreds if not thousands of companies present to investors, looking for funding. I have analyzed thousands of business plans. As an entrepreneur, I have had successful exits, and I have also failed.
Through my experience, I have found that there are relatively predictable areas with which entrepreneurs will struggle. While most are capable of overcoming these challenges, limited access to quality information prevents many from doing so. I am inspired to create an entirely free resource for entrepreneurs to use to help guide them to build businesses that have the bones to make them successful while simultaneously being attractive to various types of early stage investors.
Good luck out there.
